Your Questions, Answered
-
Children’s bodies are constantly growing, meaning their bones, muscles, and joints respond differently to injuries and stress than adult bodies do. Pediatric orthopedic surgeons specialize exclusively in this growing skeleton, with expert knowledge on how to protect critical growth plates and treat child-specific conditions like scoliosis or clubfoot. They are also uniquely skilled at examining frightened or uncooperative children in a reassuring, family-friendly environment. Choosing a pediatric specialist ensures your child receives tailored, often non-surgical care using child-sized equipment designed just for them.
